The course content addresses the following topics:
- Psychometric assessment using recognised instruments in the participants' leadership development
- Diversity, power, and patriarchy in South African workplaces as they affect women in leadership
- Emotional intelligence (EQ) in leadership and gender equality
- Managing personal and professional imbalances of power
- The woman's role in effective workplace communication
- Decision making, problem-solving, reality testing, and impulse control towards dissolving power imbalances
- Resilience and managing stress in the workplace
- Leadership in the workplace through a feminist lens
- Teambuilding and team leadership
- Developing and implementing organisational strategies
- Negotiation skills with a specific focus on being a woman in a leadership role
- Each participant will work on a personal leadership quest during the course using the skills and knowledge developed to design a personal brand and leadership plan going forward.
